Update #2:
My camping neighbor is also a local (Ontario man) and after talking to him about the WOLF he’s convinced it was a wolf too! He says Canadian coyotes are not that big. Now that I’ve got internet again and have reviewed some online pictures we’re convinced we saw a Lone Wolf!!
——————————————————————————————-
Quick Post. Just saw a huge wolf … a WOLF! running through our campground! It was big! Tina yelled “Wolf!” I grabbed my camera and tried to take a video. He quickly dodged into the woods just as I got the camera going so you have to look hard into the woods about dead-center of the video in the dark area of the trees. If you look real heard, you might see an ear of the Wolf!
UPDATE:
Well, after talking to a few locals and park employee types they tell us that it was probably just a local coyote that has been hanging around. What!? I thought everything was bigger in Texas! This coyote was BIG! Bigger than any Texas coyotes I’ve seen. Maybe the locals just don’t want to scare us away…. I think it was a wolf, man.
It couldn’t be a wolf, they’re all down here! By the way, I will mail the kayak general delivery, myself attached (sweating it out down here!).
When you first started this journey everyone either already knew or soon learned your nickname:
MacGyver – you can fix anything with duct tape, some string and wire
I then thought we would need to start calling you:
A J Eric – in reference to A J Foyt, due to your excellent driving skills
Next was either:
Gravity Man or Mountain Man – due to your extensive research on the effect of gravity in the mountains
In your latest post you nicknamed yourself:
WolfMan
Keep um coming
I knew I liked you Melvin… I think it’s the depth and honesty of you comments!
Now you’re just making things up. Probably it was one of those weenie dogs.
Despite your dismissive and doubtful comments I am more convinced than ever that it was a Wolf. I told my camping neighbor what we saw and he thought it was a Wolf too! And he’s Canadian!!
