I hope this doesn’t actually become a weekly report, but I’m afraid its looking that way.
Week 1 problems:
- Tire Blowout – see here
- The light fixture glass in the ceiling over the drivers seat fell out while bounding down rough roads. Nearly knocked me out.
- Broke another rear-end skid wheel. I had to replace one before we even left on our trip. But they’re doing their job.
- On another rough road, a bottom drawer under the stove slid out, threw the pots and pans across the floor and busted off it’s rails. That took a little work to repair. Fortunately I have most of my garage stored in the bins below this coach so I had all the tools and parts I needed (OK, basically duct tape).
- One evening water came flowing out from under the kitchen cabinets while Tina was washing up. There’s no easy access under the sink so I had to wedge my arm through a hole at the bottom of the cabinets and feel around all the pipes to find the leak. Fortunately it was just the large nut on the P-trap that I could tighten by hand.
That’s all I can remember, or maybe that’s all I want to remember.
Truly a handyman in the making. Buy more duct tape!
Yikes! That’s not good. But, at least ya’ll are in beautiful country and not in 99% humidity with enough rainfall to last the rest of the year. Mosquitoes should be arriving in a few days. I was in Custer 2 summers ago on the way to Yellowstone and it was an awesome place. Have fun!
